I am drawn to the quiet complexities of landscape, the erosion of stone, the movement of water, and the layered histories embedded within the earth. These elements serve not as subjects to replicate, but as catalysts for exploration. Glass offers a unique language through which to investigate texture, color, and depth. Through a process of layering, fusing, and manipulating the material, I build surfaces that evoke the richness and complexity of natural forms. I am captivated by the way light interacts with glass, revealing hidden nuances, shifting color relationships, and creating an ever-changing visual experience. Texture is central to my practice. I seek surfaces that invite closer observation, where subtle variations and tactile qualities suggest the rhythms and imperfections found in nature. Color functions both intuitively and architecturally, creating atmosphere, movement, and spatial depth within each piece. Rather than depicting specific places, my work is an interpretation of natural phenomena and the emotional resonance of being immersed in the landscape.
